One won’t find two identical plates in the canteen.
If you are in a hurry, you can eat your quick lunch sitting at the bar.
If you are bored, you could try guessing the names of the plants at the windows of the canteen. I guess that would take you at least a week.
A coat rack.
A good location in a center of the city.
Air conditioning system (though, it was not working on my visit day).

What is more, the canteen specializes in baking buns. All kind of buns: with meat, cabbage, mushrooms, apples, etc. By the way, it was the first canteen on my list where visitors don't have to carry dirty dishes to a special table or window. The lady working in the canteen will take your dishes just after you leave the table. Even if it's sunny outside, it's a bit darksome in the canteen. The room has dark wooden walls and is decorated with yellow ground glass lamps. The surroundings and all visitors in formal suits make to square your shoulders a bit. Perhaps you could overhear some talks of these visitors while having your lunch - I guess it would be something about the schedule of finance minister or the impressions of bank clerks' leisure. Food: It's a must to try cepelinai with delicious mushroom sauce! It's also recommended to try at least one kind of famous buns. However, I have heard some of visitors were disappointed by buns with meat, but on the other hand they were complimenting buns with mushrooms. Compote: There's no compote in this canteen. You can choose from tea, coffee or juice. |
